LokalMind - Privacy Policy
The short version
LokalMind is built on a single principle: your data never leaves your device.
No accounts. No tracking. No ads. No cloud inference. Your conversations are yours - stored locally, processed locally, deleted locally.
Privacy Promise: Local-first by default. Your chat data is never uploaded.
What we collect
Nothing.
LokalMind does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.
What stays on your device
The following data is stored only on your iPhone, in local SQLite and device storage:
- Your chat messages and conversation history
- Downloaded AI model files (.gguf)
- Your display name and avatar preference
- Your custom system prompts
- Your memory notes and learned profile
- App settings and preferences
None of this is accessible to us, any third party, or any remote server.
Network usage
LokalMind uses the internet only for:
- Downloading AI model files from our CDN (Hetzner)
- Receiving app updates via Expo OTA
Your chat prompts and responses are never sent over the internet. AI inference happens entirely on your device using downloaded models.

Children's privacy
LokalMind does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children. Since no data is collected at all, there is nothing to protect by age category.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be committed to this repository with a new date. Significant changes will be noted in the app release notes.
